HOW TO PRAY THE ROSARY 1. Sign of the cross. 2. Apostles' Creed. 3. We announce the day’s first mystery. 4. Our Father 10 Hail Mary’s Glory be to the Father 5. We continue until completing the five mysteries of the day. 6. Prayer to the Virgin.
THE SIGN OF THE CROSS In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. The Apostles’ Creed I believe in God the Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried. He descended to the dead. On the third day he rose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven, where he is seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty. He will come again to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body and life everlasting. Amen. THE GLORY BE Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen. The Lord’s Prayer Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen. HAIL MARY Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen. GLORIOUS MYSTERIES 1.The Triumphant Resurrection of Jesus. Jesus, on the third day after your death, you rose from the dead. The Apostles, who saw you after your resurrection, gave their lives to defend this truth. I believe, too, that life does not end with death. Give me the grace to have a clean and honest heart, similar to yours, and to follow your path that ends in resurrection and eternal happiness. 2.The Ascension of Jesus into Heaven.
Forty days after your resurrection, you ascended into heaven. We, too, wish to go to heaven, and so we want to live according to your ideals. But we cannot do that without your help. Please give us the strength to make the gifts that God has sown in our hearts grow bigger every day. 3 The Descent of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost. Mary, when you prayed with the Apostles, the Holy Spirit transformed them, filled them with courage, and they set out to make the message of Jesus known to the whole world. When we pray the rosary, please pray with us so that the Holy Spirit may open the gates of our hearts. Teach the children of our world to pray the rosary and live accordingly so that the Holy Spirit, make them joyful messengers of God´s love. 4.The Assumption of Mary into Heaven. Mary, God took you body and soul to heaven and gave you the mission to take us to Jesus, to lead, and to protect us. Mother, I give you my heart. I want to live joined with you, allied with you. I want your heart to be my shelter and the road that will lead me to God. 5.The Coronation of Mary as Queen of Heaven and Earth. Mother, we want to follow your path as we see it in the Rosary. We want to go forth in life being strong, worthy, generous, humble, and sharing love, peace, and joy. We crown you Queen of our hearts, and ask you to lead and transform us.
